Traditional British house

It seems that brits are not used to live in flats or skyscrapers. Instead, they fancy living in houses. There is a variety of houses in the U.K, including detached house, semi-detached house, terraced house, cottage etc. As I were moving house the other day, I am gonna talk about traditional british house. The house I am staying at the moment is semi-detached house, which means two detached houses connect together.
What surprises me is the layout of houses in Britain are almost the same. Firstly, u can see colourful doors but with similar types and same size.
There is a hall behind the door. And then, living room is located either on ur right or left side together with a large bay window so that u can enjoy natural light. The room I am staying was a living room before.

At the bottom of the ground floor (1F in Taiwan) is usually kitchen and and small garden. there is a staircase halfway in the hall which is the way to the first floor (2F in Taiwan)
Finally, the most important is the house price. According to my in-depth investigation, house with 2 bed costs round 120,000 quids (equivalent to 7 million NTD), and with 4 bed costs round 300,000 quids (equivalent to 15 million NTD). However, the environment is wicked. 15 minute walk to grassland with cows, which might be 5 times bigger than 大安 forest park as well as 20 min walk to Jesmond Dene, which is similar to 陽明山 national park but with fewer cars. Anyway, I'm gonna introduce living environment later on.
